Hi Girl Fitters,
I’m happy to introduce myself as the newest member of the Girl Fit team! I am a Physical Therapist and attended Boston University to earn both my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I am so excited to be at Girl Fit to help girls of all ages learn how to become their strongest selves.
I have been a dancer and cheerleader for almost as long as I could walk! As I got older I began to focus on dancing and cheering as my favorite activities and chose to be competitive in both through grade school until I graduated high school. This led me to compete both regionally and nationally in both. I was lucky enough to continue dancing in college for BU’s Division 1 Dance Team and then professionally in the New England area. I’m also in my third season with the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, and yes that means I’ve danced my way all the way to the Superbowl!
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dancing and cheerleading are full year and full body sports, with very few days off to recover. I have learned a lot about how to take care of my own body and keep it dancing and cheering throughout my career. Over the years I have had my fair share of injuries, some minor and some near career ending which taught me to learn even more about staying healthy and rehabbing for my own sports. I also have some great Physical Therapists to thank for allowing me to continue to do what I love! I am excited to share my knowledge in injury prevention so the dancers, cheerleaders and other athletes of the world to keep everyone in their sport or activity of choice. If an injury does occur, I can’t wait to be on the other side helping everyone get back to doing what they love.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
See you at Girl Fit!
